Celebrate the beauty of a California summer with a limited-edition kit thoughtfully curated by three local makers: Life is Cozy, Dawn Kathryn Studio, and Peninsula Yarn.

This exclusive collaboration brings together everything you need to create the Honey Crescent Shawl designed by the Bay Area-based designer Ksenia Naidyon of Life is Cozy. Inspired by the honey moon—the magical full moon of early summer — this one-skein shawl is a celebration of warm weather knitting. It combines modern lace with a classic crescent shape in a polished knit suitable for adventurous beginners.  

The special yarn in the kit is a skein of Cotton Wool Fingering in the shade Gold, hand-dyed by Lynn Tsui of Peninsula Yarn. This delicious blend of 50% pima cotton and 50% fine superwash merino is the perfect marriage of two fibres. The cotton gives the yarn sheen and structure, while the merino provides the bounce and elasticity of wool — making it a joy to knit with and to wear next to skin. The tonal warm wheat hue is inspired by the rolling golden hills surrounding the Bay Area in summer. 

To carry your project in style the kit includes an organic cotton project bag featuring original artwork by Dawn Kathryn of Dawn Kathryn Studio. Her bags are a community favorite—generously sized at 12"x15", with a drawstring closure and a convenient wrist strap for knitting on the go. The artwork on the bag intertwines the phases of the moon and summer blooms. Each bag is hand printed by Dawn in her Berkeley studio in the kit-exclusive metallic gold.

You'll also receive a one-of-a-kind stitch marker / progress keeper handcrafted with care by Ksenia of Life is Cozy. Her coveted stitch markers are typically available only at select in-person events, and this luminous golden Ukrainian amber edition is exclusive to this release.
